About Roman
Roman Baber is the Member of Parliament for York Centre, located in North York. He is a member of Parliament’s Standing Committee on Justice.
From 2018 to 2022, Roman represented York Centre in the Provincial Parliament.
Roman is a lawyer, called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and practiced commercial and insurance litigation, until his provincial election in 2018.
He attended high school at William Lyon Mackenzie, obtained a B.A. from York University and graduated law school from the University of Western Ontario.
Roman was born and lived in the Soviet Union until he was almost nine. He moved and lived with his family in Israel until age fifteen. In 1995, together with family, Roman immigrated to Canada, directly to the heart of York Centre at Bathurst & Sheppard.
He is a passionate about the Rule of Law, Free Speech and preserving the Canadian opportunity that he was blessed with, for all Canadians.
Roman is an avid fan of the City of Toronto, subways and the Raptors.
